Post 249's building was built in 1921 and has no changes to it's design with exceptions of minor routine maintenance. We wish to add on 30 foot to the back of the Post updating the restrooms to ADA compliance and raising the kitchen from below street level to street level along with updating its equipment. Early estimates are around $400,000. Send donation to Post 249 Building Fund at 220 E. Yosemite Ave Manteca, CA 95336 or attend some post functions like the 5k run.
The Foundation was created in January 2018 with the primary function to assist the Post in collection of funds for the Post remodel in order to bring the restroom up to ADA compliance. The foundation also gives financial contributions to other organizations such as the Boys and Girls Scouts, Charles O. Palmer II foundations and other Veteran groups in the city of Manteca. The Foundation can be contacted using the contact section on the main page.
